Jeremy Bonin Jeremy Bonin AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, is the Principal Partner and Lead Architect at Bonin Architects & Associates (BA&A). Previous to starting his own architectural firm, Jeremy was the Principal Architect at a premier national timber frame home manufacturer. While there Jeremy authored a timber frame design book; TIMBER FRAMES: Designing Your Custom Home, which is being heralded as an invaluable tool for anyone building a timber frame or post and beam home.
A member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects), Jeremy is also an NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) Certified Architect; licensed in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania. Jeremy received his Bachelor of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. Jeremy's professional experience includes four years at Rhode Island's largest architectural firm, working on projects such as the RI State Police and Forensic Crime Lab headquarters, Shaw's Supermarkets, The Westin Hotel, and LaSalle Academy.
Jeremy is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the USGBC's (U.S. Green Building Council) national standard for development of high performance sustainable buildings. Jeremy's special interest in timber framing and energy efficiency as it relates to green living and sustainable home design, energy efficient home design, alternative energy sources, and environmentally sound material selections such as SIPs (structural insulated panels), make him a valuable resource for energy efficient home design that will benefit both the homeowners who live in them and the planet we live on.
Jeremy is currently working on his second book which focuses on green building and sustainable building practices. |
Kimberly Bonin Kimberly Bonin is the Principal Partner and Executive Project Manager at BA&A. Kim has over ten years of construction management experience in timber framing. Kim began her career in timber frame project management over ten years ago with Vermont Timber Works, Inc. located in North Springfield Vermont as the Director of Sales & Marketing.
During this time, Kim worked primarily on commercial timber frame projects including the Fresh Air Fund dining halls and cabins in Fishkill, NY, an Executive Annex in Armonk, NY, the Susquehanna Humane society in Susquehanna, PA, the timber frame Bethlehem Monastery of Poor Clares in Bethlehem, PA, the Navasota Church fire rebuild in TX, the Cornwall Library in Cornwall, CT and many other commercial and residential projects.
Kim went on to become the Executive Project Coordinator for another nationally recognized Timber Frame manufacturer, located in NH; coordinating projects nationally while exceeding company quotas every year. During her career Kim traveled to job sites to meet clients and their builders, help position the timber frame home on the site, assist in the preliminary design process and construction documentation, complete design specification forms, and submit quotes and contracts to clients.
Additionally, Kim is the co-chair of Parent Links, a local group offering education and support to teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Asperger's Syndrome in the local Sullivan County area.

Kim and Jeremy enjoy working closely together on a daily basis and spending time with their four children. They delight in their time hiking, golfing, kayaking, cross country skiing, gardening, cooking meals at home or simply exploring the natural beauty that their interests help preserve.
