The original Lake Sunapee cottage was replaced with consideration to the classic Victorian homes in the neighborhood. With houses only eight feet from either side, the design maximizes the allowable living space on the site for activities of all seasons.
The exterior of the home is designed to complement the surrounding architecture in Blodgett Landing in Newbury, while the interior boasts a more contemporary atmosphere. The open stair changes throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky; it greets everyone upon entry and allows easy travel from floor to floor for family and guests alike. With young children and an active lifestyle, the homeowners’ goals were having easy access to the lake, plenty of storage space, low maintenance and both private and common areas for all family members.
