Preliminary Design Phase & Construction Documents Phase Services:
Bonin Architects & Associates is a specialized architectural design and project management company focusing on sustainable and energy efficient homes and light commercial structures. While we specialize in building techniques such as Structural Insulated Panel homes, as well as timber frames and post and beam homes, we design structures using other building methods as well. Our initial consultation within a 100 mile radius is non-billable. Our fee structure is based on design and management services typically provided by an architectural office, combined with our expertise in timber frame design, SIPs construction, sustainable home design and industry specific project management skills.
Architect's seal provided for NH, NY, RI, MA & PA (VT & CT pending) included in Construction Phase Services fee, when required
Preliminary Design Phase Services: $4.50 per square foot*
Construction Documents Phase Services: $2.25 per square foot*
Coordination & Management Fee: 5% of subcontractor invoices for materials purchased and managed by BA&A. (timber frame, SIPs, engineering coordination, solar energy systems and other materials).
* Square foot estimates are calculated for all habitable living spaces |
Prints & Shipping:
Preliminary Design Phase Services:
• 2 printed sets & USPS shipping per revisions (if requested)
Construction Phase Services:
• 5 printed sets & USPS shipping to client and manufacturer & contractors for the timber frame or post and beam and structural insulated panels (SIPs)
Additional sets billed at $3.00 per sheet, as requested, plus shipping costs
Fed EX & UPS shipping charges as requested

Travel Expenses:
• Our initial consultation within a 100 mile radius is non-billable
• Consultation outside a 100 mile radius if requested (Expenses such as airline tickets, gas expenses, lodging and meals based on actual costs. We submit our travel itinerary to our clients for approval in advance of the visit. Our initial consultation time while traveling is non-billable, we only charge for the actual travel costs.)
• Follow-up site visits or client meetings requiring travel outside of BA&A's office are billed at actual travel costs.
