Lake Home, Sunapee, NH

The design of our latest home, to begin construction this fall on the beautiful shores of Lake Sunapee in Newbury, NH is well under way. Our clients have the good fortune to also have a large boathouse on the lakefront property: such boathouses are an endangered species on Lake Sunapee. No new boathouses are allowed to be constructed due to regulations in place to help protect our waters and shore lands.
We will renovate the existing boathouse and design a new home for this busy young couple and their family. The clients are active participants in the design process and their enthusiasm and energy is contagious. Thank you to Jason and Heidi, who have already selected the architects, engineer and builder to design and build their custom home: Bonin Architects, CLD Engineers, and McGray & Nichols. With the design build team in place and working together, the design process is progressing smoothly.
These are preliminary renderings of the new home featuring a large turret to capture the panoramic views of the lake and a large open floor plan for gatherings of family and friends.

Green Architect Jeremy Bonin heads every project, creating innovative, energy efficient home designs for green homes with a specialty in SIP panels, energy efficient conventionally-built homes, post and beam and timber frame design while incorporating recycled and energy efficient building materials and renewable energy systems. Construction Administration services include working with clients to determine budget requirements, material choices and product specifications for quotes, construction team selection, and working with the contractor throughout the construction process.
