The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a premier non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the construction industry to sustainability, has an extensive website with suggestions and tips for sustainable design, green building materials, and environmentally-conscious building methods.

In their Green Home Guide section, the USGBC just published an article by Green Architect Jeremy Bonin entitled "Selecting An Architect To Design Your Green Home", which offers homeowners suggestions on how to make the important decision of choosing the right architect, gives sources to find a qualified architect, and defines the roles each of you will have during the design process.

If you are considering building a green home, the relationship you have with your architect could be the difference between a successful building project and one you wish you hadn't started.

If you have any specific questions and/or comments for Jeremy, please let us know!
