Joyce timber frame addition - Titusville, PA

Timber Frame Home Addition, PA
"Phase One" is underway for our project in Titusville, PA. for Bob Joyce.  Bob has an existing structure which is used as living, office and storage for his business.  Heavy timber porches will be added to create depth, warmth and shelter.  The rear truss of the main gable permits access to the second floor doors and the ridge purlin will accommodate loads from a chain-fall or block and tackle lift system.

The timber frame connector, comprised of additional timber framing, will provide covered access and a path to "Phase Two", the future two car garage and a new timber frame home.

Design Development plans are being drawn utilizing Cadwork.  After review of the preliminary plans, Bob decided additional storage would be required for his office space. Another bay was added and the timber frame was increased to 20-feet wide for full coverage of the vehicles in case of inclement weather conditions. The heavy timber frame, with the truss as the focal point, will certainly become a dramatic greeting for visitors.
